Here is some Shrimpp ..

Asalamwalaikum .

So here is I am, getting used to Boredom as I have nothing to do.... both my sisters have their exams going on and I am talking to my husband asking what are your plans for today ? He says I might go to KFC and try the new Crunchy Shrimp ..

I get an Idea..
I go to the kitchen, take out some shrimp /prawns out of my freezer thaw them.. did some sooper kool stuff and Voila .! here is the result..

If you want your shrimp/prawns to end up like this Yumm-o delicacy here.. all you gotta do is ....

Ingre:

Prawns/Shrimp (de veined/ cleaned)  20
Cornflakes crumbs  1 cup
All purpose flour 1 cup
Salt to taste
Italian seasoning / dry oregano (optional) 1 tea spoon
Oil to fry
2 eggs beaten well
2 teaspoon Milk / Butter Milk works well
Half teaspoon Red chlli powder
Half teaspoon Garlic powder
Half Teaspoon Onion Powder
Half teaspoon All spice (optional)
A pinch of Cayenne Pepper
Lemon Juice 1 teaspoon.

Here is what I did :)

--> I combined all the Dry ingredients except the crumbs in a bowl, mix it really well so that there are no lumps are formed
--> Then I combined eggs, milk, lemon juice in another bowl mixing them really well too.
--> Pat dry the Shrimps.
--> I take a shrimp/prawn dust it well in the dry mixture and then take it to the egg mixture, bringing it back again to the dry mixture and then again in to the egg making it to be coated twice and then finally into the bread crumb
--> I spiced the bread crumbs as well with salt, oregano, black pepper so that the sweetness is gone.

--> Left the shrimp/prawns to rest for 3 - 5 minutes on a platter.
--> I heated up some vegetable oil, and fried the shrimps till they were nice and had a color like this in the picture. i.e Golden brown.
--> Serve Hot .. *sizzzlleee*

Oh wait.. Here is the good part.. Since I am on a diet I had to skip the frying part for me. So.. What I did was, I preheated my Oven at 180 degree Celsius  and cooked these Yumm-os for like 8 - 9 minutes untill they were cooked.

I have to say it didn't make any difference in the taste. All Good .! :)
I served these Shrimp/Prawns with some garlic Mayonnaise.. *drool again even after having diner* but you can serve it with whatever dip u like. !

My Family gave a Thumbs Up.! to this. Dad said.. You should also try this with Chicken sometimes, Mum said I am having something so delicious I can hardly wait till you make it again. My sisters are like > When you were frying these, the whole house was filled with its aroma. You gotta make these again..!!

5 kilos down the DRAIN..!



Asalamwalaikum,
I am soo Happy.!! I cant contain myself .. today I weighed myself on the weighing scale and Yassss.!!! It showed me that I had lost 5 kilos..!

Nevertheless, I have been Dieting for the past month. Not Crash dieting, I do indulge once in a while not very much. I have learnt to control my Portions of what I eat.

Alhamdllilah, This weight loss thingie is one of my Biggest Battles in Life as I love to eat.!!
So Happy , So Happy .!!

Insha Allah. I want all of you to Pray for me and reach my target very soon..

P.S : Cant disclose my current weight now :-| as it is way tooo much for perosn of my age. Will disclose it after I reach my target..

I Just wanted to say THANK YOU SO MUCH DANA and JAZAKALLAH.
I really think it was very grateful of you earlier to design a blog for me. I Screwed it up.. ! Sorry for thatt... Then again we both sat almost late nights to choose other designs and I assure you , you must be thinking.. what a chooooosyy PERSON I am.. !!  And the second design also was screwed up by me again..  I am Horrible.!

I know I can be very pickyy .! Sorry for all the trouble. and also I wanted to Thank yooooo  for helping me find a space in your blog and telling others about my blog to follow me.. I <3 u..

Body Basics -- Smooth Hair by Hot Oil Massage

 Hair Like this lady over here smooooooothhhh .. but not this long .!!
Trust me. You don't want your guys or men get Tangled in your own hair and CHOKE.. LoL

Straight, silky smooth hair has always been desirable for women. Commercial hair straightners are either mechanical devices like flat irons or chemicals. By using them, you can get the hairstyle that you have craved for so long, but side effects are also unavoidable. The chemicals used in the process can damage the skin of the scalp, while the frequent use of flat irons can result in thinning of hair shaft, hair splits and breakage. Natural substances, on the other hand, can help to straighten and smooth hair without these harmful side effects. Here is a Hair Smoothing Tip.



 Hot Oil Massages : 

Everybody knows that oiling your hair is like giving food your hair. Although what we eat also directly affects our hair but unlike our skin we always tend to forget that hair also needs the same care. Usually many of us have a common problem.. Hairfall.
Yepp, I myself have been suffering from the same problem. But often I indulge in this Hot oil massage.
You will need
- A pair of Hands
- Warm oil / Hot oil ( any oil) . It could be coconut, jojoba, jasmine, almond oil.. etc..
- A Hot towel
- A head to Massage :P 
- A mild shampoo.
Heat up the oil in a microwave, or on the stove. Massage oil directly unto your scalp using your fingertips in a CIRCULAR MOTION
After a couple of minutes, say like about 10 - 15 minutes. Wrap around a hot moist towel on your hair and allow the towel to cool.
Wash your hair with a mild shampoo or until all the oil has been rinsed out completely..

You will see the difference :) Trust me.

It usually takes 2- 3 times of hot oil application for your hair to get used to it. Remember .. Curly and dry hair need extra care and protection.

You can always MOISTURIZE your hair with hair serums that are available or a leave on conditioner. They really help..
I love them .! They always make hair manageable and are easily available too.

But lemme tell you. The tips I am writing here are just for the sake of sharing information. Hair quality is depended on many things like GENES, what type of hair you had, your lifestyle, water quality, your diet etc..

Body Basics --- Are mouth ULCERS giving you a HARD time ??



Asalamwalaikum.

Mouth ULCERS are painful and sometimes very embarrassing. Study shows that Adults between the ages of 25 and 35 mostly suffer from this condition.



Usually it just starts by themselves as small bubble of blister, which then becoms an open and ulcerated pit.

Causes : Mouth ulcers can also be triggered by a number of factors, such as emotional pain or stress, fatigue, physical injury to the mouth(often by biting the cheek or from dental work) and dietary deficiencies (lack of Vitamin B12, iron, and folic acid).

Severe ulcers cause the sufferers to actively avoid eating, drinking, talking. Speech is painful, resulting in loss of clarity. There can be high fever too.

Damage to the mouth lining is very common, especially from brushing the teeth too vigorously or from  braces in the mouth, or biting inside of mouth.
Most common in teenagers, these will heal within a couple of weeks. These can be prevented by resolving stress-related problems or using stress busting relaxation techniques.


Diseases related mouth ulcers can have symptoms of herpes infection, canker soars, bowel diseases, herpes simplex etc.. If they are symptoms of a disease usually they are accompanied by other symptoms but not always.

Treatment : First and foremost - Alwayz consult your doctor.
- Cooling of mouth by rinsing cold water.
-Water based mouth ulcer gels that are easily available in the medical store/ drug store near you.
- Avoid eaeting spicy food. Spicy makes matters go worse.!

Prevention : Mouth ulcers are vulnerable to infection by bacteria in the mouth, so keep your clen and fresh by gargling with any anti-bacterial mouthwash or salt water.
- Avoid mouthwashes and toothpastes with a high powerful ani microbial action.
- Brushing anf flossing twice daily will reduce the chances of a further infection.
- Avoid brushing very vigorously.
- Eat a healthy diet that comprises a good intake Vitamin B, C and zinc.


-Reduce stress. Talk to your kids/ parents/ loved ones/friends. Be Happy .

Did u know ??


Well for sure , you may or may not have known these facts that I am about to write.

Answer the phone by LEFT ear.

Do not drink coffee TWICE a day.

Do not take pills with COOL water.

Do not have HUGE meals after 5pm.

Reduce the amount of OILY food you consume.

Drink more WATER in the morning, less at night.

Keep your distance from hand phone CHARGERS.

Do not use headphones/earphone for LONG period of time.

Best sleeping time is from 10pm at night to 6am in the morning.

We should  not lie down immediately after taking medicine before sleeping.

The last one scares me most because this is what I am sure all of us do everyday

When battery is down to the LAST grid/bar, do not answer the phone as the radiation is 1000 times.

I received these facts in an e mail from my dad who got it from a friend of his who is a well known surgeon.
I hope these will impart some knowledge.

Food plan for a better and healthy DIET that doesnt make you starve .Part 1



OK. Ladies, here I upload my DIET plan that helps to lose approximate 2 - 3 kilos a month.
Yes, follow it religiously and I am sure that you will achieve that look that you desire.

Here it goes. 

Wake up : 7 30 am- 8 am : 2 glasses of lukewarm water with either 1 teaspoon honey in each glass or 1 half lemon squeezed in the two glasses.


Breakfast(8 30 - 9 am) : Kellogs with milk ( K kellogs+skimmed milk), if u want to increase your portion you can add fruits.Avoid banana, chikoo, mango, grapes. OR  poha(flattened rice) OR upma OR 2-3 steamed idlis with sambhar only.No coconut chutney. OR 1 plain dosa, Or 1 brown bread sandwich.




Early noon: ( 10 30-11 am) 1 fruit OR coconut water.



I have so far made this DIET plan according to the HUNGER PANGS that I  know we all get.

I am sure. I will able to come up with something more for lunch and diner very soon.

Foods for Ramzaan.

Asalamwalaikum everybody,
Health is the key to happiness as it is rightly quoted," Health is Wealth"
Our Noble Prophet Muhammad had said, "Take advantage of the Good health before illness afflicts you."

The blessed month of Ramzaan is a great opportunity to have a balance in both HEALTH and become CLOSER to ALLAH(s.w.t)

The stomach is the main cause that helps our brain FUNCTION and we get distracted in our daily lives away from the ALLAH almighty.On the other hand, when a person FASTS not only his stomach remains empty and doesn't allow the BRAIN to work much., It gives a chance to the INDIVIDUAL to praise ALLAH more than he can ever do.

As far as to my knowledge, my beautiful sisters in ISLAM are not only DAUGHTERS but wives, mothers to their family also.

I find a great way to share my small yet useful information on RAMZAAN foods.

Things to avoid and things to include.

Foods to avoid are the heavily-processed, fast-burning foods that contain refined carbohydrates in the form of sugar, white flour, etc., as well as, of course, too much fatty food (eg: cakes,biscuits, chocolates and sweets, such as Indian Mithai). It may also be worth avoiding the caffeine content in drinks such as tea, coffee and cola. (Caffeine is a diuretic and stimulates faster water loss through urination.)
Try alternative methods as against, Frying, Deep frying , Curries with excessive oil(i.e Tarri ) in Indian terms by replacing with grilling, shallow pan frying, baking the fish and chicken, boiling protein filled sprouts.

Usually we see that we do not indulge in proper SEHRI but we gorge and hog food at IFTAR time. This should not be done. Imagine, working in the KITCHEN to cook only for 1 person normally then all of a sudden u have to cook for 100 people.! Isnt that very disturbing ?? Same is the case of our Body. 

Please remember my dear sisters that a meal should always remain a meal and not a FEAST...

Try to minimise the rich, creamy and oily stuff as practiced everywhere and follow simple things.


Like I had said earlier,,

You don't need to eat HUMMUS, or SAMOSA or BIRYANI or CURRIES to become a TRUE and GOOD MUSLIM, Islam is WAY of LIFE, not some culture or tradition that was founded 1400 years ago.!

Moral Upbringing Of Children with Both Deen and Duniya.

I have seen a lot of Parents in recent times be it Muslim, Hindu, or any religion, they have CRANKY kids. I mean SUPER CRANKY.. Some I feel like counseling them then and there but I feel helpless.
*sigh*

What boils my blood the most is when you ask the parent regarding the child's behavior , all they can say is, "What can I do? He/she doesn't listen!" I mean you people are the PARENTS for CRYING OUT LOUD.!! How does the CHILD not listen to you?? If the child does not listen to you then are u capable of being a good PARENT? 
Ask yourselves.

 Recently I happen to see a few good points on the link mentioned above.
Please do check them out even if you aint a PARENT yet because one day you will be one INSHALLAH.

Methods for Moral Upbringing:


1- Showing the values of good deeds and their effects on the individuals and society; also showing the effects of bad deeds, all within the child’s capability of understanding.


2- Parents should be a good example in their behavior because children like to imitate their parents in their sayings and their deeds.


3- Teaching the child the religious principles and tutoring him in worship, taking into account the child’s capability of understanding. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is reported to have said: “Order your children to pray at the age of seven.”


4- Treating children nicely and kindly. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us that practically. When he was praying as an Imam with the people, his grandson Al-Hasan, son of his daughter Fatimah, may Allah be pleased with them rode his back while he was bowing. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, lengthened his bow. When he finished his prayer, some attending Companions said, “You lengthened your bow?” Then the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, answered, “My grandson rode my back and I hate hastening him”


5- One of the important things that parents must teach their children is to choose the good company and to the avoid the bad one, because children are always influenced by the company they keep. The bad behavior can be easily transmitted through bad company. So the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, warned us by saying, “Man is inclined to get influenced by his friend’s manners, so one must be careful in choosing friends.” (Reported by Abu Dawud & At-Tirmidhi)


6- Encouraging the child’s sense of belonging to the Muslim Ummah, by teaching him of the brotherhood between Muslims, teaching him to care for Muslims in any land, and that he is part of the Muslim body, to feel joy when Muslims are joyous, to feel sad for Muslims’ sadness, and to do best to achieve the Muslim Ummah’s goals. All of this can be done practically through:


A- Taking children to Mosques and introducing them to their brother in Islam regardless of race, language, or origin.

B- Teaching the children the history of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, and his Companions and the history of Islam, bearing in mind the child’s capability of understanding.

C- Encouraging children to sympathize with Muslim problems and to contribute to the solutions such as the poverty problem and to donate some money to the hungry Muslim children.

D- Taking part in the celebrations and festivals with Muslims, and sharing picnics and creating ties with their Muslim brothers of the same age.


7- Imbuing in children the feeling of love of Allah, His Prophet, Muslims, and all people. This love will lead to special behavior towards all those loved.


These are general guidelines to raise our children in the Islamic way, so every Muslim must take care of his children and know the correct path that must be followed. This will help us do the job we are entrusted to do as Allah proscribed, as well as the responsibility the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, has clarified, with aim of protecting the future generations of Muslims, as Allah Almighty says: (And Say Do deeds! Allah will see your deeds, and (so will) his Messenger and the believers. And you will be brought back to the All-Knower of the unseen and the seen. Then He will inform you of what you used to do. ) (At-Tawbah: 105)

Weight Issues : diary of a CHUBBY girl. Introduction

Hello and Peace everyone.
According to many studies and theories and surveys it is generally found that today in the times of INFLATION, RECESSION, Poverty, there are many people in the world who despite having problems with finance are either OBESE , over weight, or almost on the verge of joining the FAT CLUB.

Yes.! I am too a member of such CLUB and guess what ? Its free .!
I am a 21 yr old girl having WEIGHT ISSUES since birth actually. I was born 9 and a half pounds and have been round and soft and squishy ever since. All was fine even after my marriage to the most BEST husbands of all.! Alhamdullilah. But then even thought my husband never complained about my SIZE which did matter in many things, I slowly started to realize that even though nothing was wrong with me except my body size I had to do something matters get out of hand. I mean they did get out of hand, but I am too embarrassed to write down my current HEAVY weight.. so KEEP guessing . Ha ha.!

My life is always mixed with events. Sometimes things happen all so quick and randomly or sometimes things never happen at all. So currently I am in my MIXED events phase where everything is keeping me busy on my toes.

Today dated 7th July 2011, I have taken a pledge with myself to lose weight and get down to 60 kilos. Yes. That is what I am aiming for. I don't want to join the SIZE ZERO club or the HANGING STICK club. My persona is that of a CHUBBY girl which I am not ready to give up. NO.!

I will be filling the details of my DAILY routine very soon INSHALLAH and I hope and know that there are many girls and boys like me who are fighting this WAR.

PRAY that everything goes well..
Very soon will update my DIET plans and share it with everybody.

How much blessed are we.. ?

How blessed and lucky we are Alhumdulilah :)

We get a chance to pray 5 times a day. A chance To ask forgiveness from ALLAH swt, a chance to please our Lord, a chance to talk to him in private. The more we think of the little blessings we receive from Allah the more we are satisfied with whatever we have. Alhumdulilah.

So why not use this simple and beneficial idea to earn more and more deeds In sha Allah :)
